This review is spot on about this board. It encourages longer drawn-out turns, feels like it has a lot of volume under you and is smooth as butter. Be sure to get it small enough though, or you will struggle. I wasn't expecting the volume when i order

Hey Dean, you're right – I think that because Surftech boards are lighter, more bouyant and sit higher in the water they do expose you to more wind in choppy surf. That would probably slow your paddling down compared to a heavier conventional board…

yea i agree with everything that you have said. i have a 6 foot ratboy and it holds perfectly and really fires off the deck on small waves. and yeah when i took it out in bigger surf i got owned hardcore. my only problem is that when it is choppy the boar
