I have the M4 in a 6’6. I’m 6″2, so needed a bigger board. It catches waves easily, but if you want to really get vertical, may not be the board for you. It definitely gets some speed and the rail is thick so it floaty and a little hard to duckdive.
Not my absolute favorite board of all time, but in small surf to slightly overhead, it works well. I have a much easier time turning this frontside than backside though.

I bought this board in a 6’6″, big mistake. It did’t catch waves well and just did’t perform for me at all. I’m sure its a great boar but whatever you do follow the advice of this review and the shaper himself: buy this board smaller.
